Beginner Motorcycle Mistakes: What to Avoid?

28/04/2015 by MNT Leave a Comment

Everyone made mistakes. There`re no perfect people and we always have to learn, try and avoid stuff. Same is the case with the people who wants to learn how to ride a motorcycle. If you`re a beginner with no experience, read what mistakes to avoid.

  1. I`ve seen people, who barely don`t know how to keep the motorcycle stand still, but still buy big, heavy and powerful motorcycles. Why do you need it? This will not make a better rider or will impress people around you. Start with something smaller and less powerful, in order to learn how to handle it, how to brake and accelerate with the bike. Simply, get closer relation with your bike.
  1. Don`t jump in the big traffic, the second after you get your motorcycle license. I know it`s very tempting to show off with the new bike, but remember that it`s “jungle out there”. Search and practice on less crowded roads, as this is develop your skills for speed and how to position on the road without put on risk yourself and the other drivers on the road.
  1. Clear your mind and get maximum concentration on the road. You`re not invisible, remember that. Most of the times, especially in highly urban areas, car driver can cut you off your road without thinking. Keep your eyes always open, keep distance with other motorcycles & vehicles and keep a finger over your brake level at all times.
  1. Getting maximum protection, wearing motorcycle gears is a must. Even for a short 5 – 10 min. trip, don`t go with the most need equipment like: motorcycle helmets, gloves, boots etc. Decrease the chance of damages and increase the chance of staying alive.
